"A metal ring (gold-coated copper) is dressed with a silicone strip, which thanks to its special
cut and assembly creates a sophisticated bend. This piece of jewelry features a role reversal:
the “noble” metal material serves as a basis for the inferior and simpler plastic, while the latter
provides the ornament and the stylish “jewelry” value of the ring. This is achieved thanks to the
elastic, three-dimensional attributes of silicone. The ring was fabricated for the “Passable Air”
exhibition initiated by Dganit Shoken and displayed at the Hacheder Gallery in 2008." |
